Winter Activities for All Children
If you find yourself stuck at home in snow this winter, here are some ideas to keep your children learning:
· Go out for a walk in the snow, spot the different surfaces where the snow has melted and settled. Why do you think this happens?
· We are learning about forces this term...what do you think will happen if you put snow in a bowl of water? Will it float or sink? Will ice float or sink? Why do you think this happens?
· Write a poem about the snow, try to use descriptive phrases and adjectives
· Have a look at some snowflakes that have landed on your windows. Can you draw the shapes that you see?
